Waitaki District Council is offering an opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in Amenity Horticulture.
The opportunity is offered in collaboration with Council's maintenance contractor (Downer) and the successful applicant will work across both organisations gaining experience and qualifications in horticulture maintenance and asset management. The apprenticeship would be for a period of four years and the successful applicant is expected to complete their apprenticeship in that time.
This would be an excellent opportunity for a recent school leaver or someone who is keen to get their foot in the door to the horticulture industry. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, confident using their hands and interested in a career in horticulture and the outdoors.
